Welcome Home Surprise

Our class had an amazing surprise today! One of the Marines, Grant we wrote (Connor's cousin) came home and took the time to visit us! We all were excited but not as excited as Connor was! Grant brought his mom who I thought was pretty amazing too! Grant stayed and ate cookies with us. Yummy cookies my super fabulous friend Christine made! You can only imagine how wild we all were. It isn't everyday we meet a real life Marine. Grant was cool enough to stay and answer some of our questions. He even did the Sid Shuffle with us. He didn't do it as well as Mrs. Richardson can, but he did his best! Mrs. Wendy was taking tons of pictures. Here are a few. We loved having Grant pop in and think he is totally rockin awesome (the class' words)! We are proud of him and wish him lots of luck and awesomeness!

Valentine's Day Party

Thanks to some amazing parents we had yet another great party! Valentine floats and ice cream sundaes! Of course there were cookies, brownies, and lots of candy!

100th Day of School

We had a pretty full day today. Today was the 100th day of school. Not only did we learn about the Bossy R, we celebrated the 100th day of school with lots of cool crafts. We made fruit loop necklaces and 100 paper hats. Here is a cute collage of the few pictures I took!

Be Mine

We took time today to make Valentine cards for our class soldiers stationed in Afganastan. We cranked up the Love Song station and made some cards! Their care packages will be mailed out tomorrow. I will post pictures of those later this week!

Funny Faces

Two things made me sad today.....

First my Blogger is not working from my computer so my cute font doesn't show up and has made my last post look strange.

Second, it is the second day of rain. In first grade that means no recess! We are recess deprived and got a little goofy. Here are our very own funny faces pictures!

Last Friday we senta “SuperHero Party in a Box” for Connor’s cousin’s Marine Unit.  They are coming home in February ….YEAH!!!)Since we weren’table to throw them a party when they get home, we thought to send them aparty.  So, I search my favorite place…Pinterest and put a fewideas together and mailed them lots of goodies with a super hero theme.  The kiddos made them super sweet handprintpictures!  We are so proud of these menand women who serve our country!  Hereare some pics of a few things we sent….

Merry Christmas
